历史沿革[edit]

村名的由来，据博雅地名网，是因其紧挨牙城村。[2]

1958年设前街生产大队，1984年改称前街村，并设立村民委员会。[2]

2021年11月，村获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[2]
