牙城村位于牙城镇镇区，下辖后街、中街、东门外和岐头里四个自然村。常住人口2140人；全村有866户，户籍之外的人口合计3573人。经济以农业为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名之由，据博雅地名网，村的东、西、南三面有石城，山后曾发现形如牙齿的石头，故名。[2]

1958年，此地的农业生产合作社改为生产大队，同年设牙城生产大队。1984年改称牙城村，并设立村民委员会。[2]

2021年11月，村获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[2]
