玉潭村位于县城西南郊，玉潭溪发源于目莲山，流经村境后注入山河，村中有瀑布与森林等自然资源。村民以畲族为主要少数民族，民俗保留较多。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年设墓斗生产大队，1984年改称墓斗村；2014年更名为玉潭村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，玉潭村入选2020年福建省森林村庄名单。[1]

民族与习俗[edit]

村中少数民族以兰、钟、雷三姓为主。村民至今保留讲畲语、盘畲歌、吃乌饭等习俗，每逢二月二、三月三，村里都要组织盘诗对歌。[2]
