万贤社区位于县城东部，北面以六一七路为界，南面临护城河，东至东吾路，西至龙首路。[1]

地名[edit]

社区名由「万」「贤」两字组成：「万」寓意数量之多，「贤」指有才干的人，寄望后辈多出贤才。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年后这里属万贤街人民政府。1955年居民户分出，设万贤居委会；1958年并入万贤大队管委会；1967年分开后改称居委会，1984年恢复万贤居委会之名。2002年，此地分为万贤与龙贤两个居委会；2003年，万贤居委会改称万贤社区居委会。[1]

辖区与文物[edit]

辖区内有县委、县政府、政协、司法局等30多个企事业单位。[1]

辖区内有游寿故居，列为省级文物保护单位；另有福宁府城隍庙，1999年认定为县级文物保护单位。[2][3]
