中乘社区位于县城中部，以府前路为北界，太康路为南界，东靠龙首路，西边到金谷洋。[1]

社区名取自「中山」「乘驷」两境的首字组合。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后，此地为中乘街人民政府所辖。1955年居民户独立出来，设中乘居委会；1958年农业户与之合并，组成中乘大队管委会；1967年改称胜利居委会；1984年又恢复中乘居委会之名，2004年10月起称中乘社区居委会。[1]
