历史沿革[edit]
1684年，清廷在此置税务总口，统辖九处口岸。清末民国时期，十三个国家的二十一家公司先后在此开设洋行；中国轮船公司、保险公司等财团与钱庄设有经营机构，中央银行、交通银行和农业银行曾在此设分行。[2]
1905年，当地设有电报局，称「三都澳邮政总局」。1944年6月，日军飞机轰炸三都岛，房屋大多被毁，只剩天主教堂、修道院与福海关三座楼房。[2]
村于1958年设立大队，1984年改设村委会。2006年10月，渡口获蕉城区政府批准设立。[2]
经济[edit]
村中的石块浆砌突堤民用码头始建于1901年，另有1987年建成的农贸市场。耕地346亩，林地275亩。[2]
文化[edit]
村内有中学、小学各一所，幼儿园两所，并有邮政局、信用社、派出所、边防派出所，驻有海军部队。本村籍大学以上学历者65人，其中一人获博士学位。[2]
