飞鸾镇在蕉城区的东南部，北边濒海；东北面与三都澳的城澳半岛毗邻，东南、西南与罗源县交界，西北则与城南镇相接。镇政府设在飞鸾村，离蕉城区约12千米。2020年6月底，镇下设2个社区和19个行政村。[1][3][5]

据博雅地名网所载，设镇时当地希望此镇像鸾鸟一样展翅高飞、富贵吉祥，镇名因此而来。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

明代，此地属二都。民国二十七年（1938年）此地设乡，归城关区管辖。新中国成立后，这里一度是全县五个区之一；此后先后改为区、为人民公社，1984年改设乡，1988年10月定为镇。[4]

据快懂百科，1997年前后全镇面积为105.5平方千米，人口2.3万，辖19个村委会和2个居委会。[2]

地理环境[edit]

镇域北面临海，沈海高速公路与104国道过境。[1][2]

镇内有飞鸾港水道，鸾港社区即以它取名。[4]

人口民族[edit]

百度百科载有2019年末的户籍数：23255人。第七次全国人口普查公报则另给一个数，全镇14241人，标准时点为2020年11月1日零时。两个数不能互相换算。[1][2]

镇内南山、蒲岭、向阳里、新岩等村为畲族村，梅田村的观后村也是畲族村。[8][9][10][11][12]

经济[edit]

镇域临海，水产养殖与水产品加工是主要产业。镇里依托中国·三都澳大黄鱼产业园发展，蕉城区的「中国大黄鱼之乡」称号和大黄鱼原产地地理保护标志，也是镇里发展所借的品牌。[6]

2019年末，镇上登记的工业企业共50家，规模以上的有12家。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

加洋水库在白马山下的澳坪村，1982年建成，是小（1）型水库。拦水的坝体用水泥砂浆砌条石做成双曲拱形，高40.5米；库容398万立方米，汇水面积5.86平方公里，承担防洪、发电与灌溉任务。[4][7]

镇内的古迹多在各村之内：飞鸾村有宋代窑址和南宋始建的石桥遗址，碗窑村有古民居和古榕，下村有宋末始建的增福寺，详见各村条目。[13][14][15]
