溪源村位于洋中镇南部，距镇中心约4.5公里，在顶旗山脚下。村名源于村内河流的源头位置，此河穿过洋中镇，流经石后乡大泽溪，最终注入七都溪入海。[1]

地名由来[edit]

据传芹溪旁有一块形如门框的石头，夜间升起、白昼落下，故称“溪门”，后经方言演变为溪源。村子又名溪门村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1980年村里设立生产大队，1984年改设村民委员会，名称沿用至今。村辖溪源、溪里、祠党、南山、坑洞坪、南冈等七个自然村。[1]
