东山村位于洋中镇区东部，洋中溪南岸、东山溪东岸，海拔约340米。村中保存有东山柳州祠、明清古街和古戏台等古建筑，是福建省历史文化名村。[1][2][3]

地名由来[edit]

村子位于镇区东部，村落依山脚集中而居，故取名东山。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

相传唐乾符三年（876年），都运使、福建盐运使、秘书少监陈謏自河南光州固始县迁居福建长溪感德场东山下，是村中陈姓的开基始祖。1958年村里组建生产大队，1984年改设村委会。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

东山柳州祠亦称忠节大夫祠，为纪念南宋柳州知府陈纪而建。祠堂始建于南宋，清代曾在康熙、乾隆年间先后重建、重修，光绪年间加建戏台。2018年，该祠被列入福建省第九批省级文物保护单位。[3]

村中其他古建筑还有明清古街、古戏台和奶娘宫。据村情简介，这座戏台已有一百二十多年历史，村中的柳州祠则是宁德市现存祠堂中年代最久的一座，建于南宋淳熙二年。[2]

村子东与陈洋相接，西与洋中村毗邻，北隔河与陈洞村相望，海拔约340米。村域内有东山古村与梦里水乡两处景区。[1][2]
