东牛村是赤溪镇的行政村，在镇区东北方向约1.7公里处，靠近林兰山下西南一侧，村委会设在上牛埕。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名各取东坑、牛埕两村的首字组成。1958年组建大队，1984年改为村民委员会。[1]

人口民族[edit]

村内有8个自然村，名称包括东坑、上牛埕、下牛埕等。全村共88户、318人，分为6个村民小组。[1]

经济[edit]

耕地420亩，林地6228亩，其中有林地5840亩。以农业为主，作物有稻谷、甘薯、茶叶等，山货中有蘑菇、香菇。[1]
