村落由隋朝谏议大夫黄鞠在此开基，村南曾建一座石桥，村名因此而来。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

霍童涵洞始建于隋皇泰元年（618年），由龙腰水渠和蝙蝠隧洞组成，为福建省文物保护单位。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

2015年10月，石桥村入选「福建省第一批省级传统村落」；2016年5月，福建省人民政府认定其为「第五批福建省历史文化名镇名村」；2016年12月，列入「第四批中国传统村落」名录。[1]

2021年4月，石桥村获评「2020年度福建省乡村振兴实绩突出村」；2023年2月，入选「福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡村」名单；2026年1月，被确定为「福建省2026年度乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
