历史沿革[edit]
解放初，村里分设街尾、街中、坂头、街头四个高级社，随后改作四个大队；1958年并入人民公社，合成霍童大队，1984年再改为村委会。[1][2]
2015年10月，霍童村入选「福建省第一批省级传统村落」；2022年10月，霍童村入列「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
文昌阁为国共谈判旧址，是区级文物保护单位，村内另有小支提寺、仙岩寺和甘露寺三处佛寺。[2]
村内清乾隆年间的古井、明清古民居，以及一条霍童溪长堤，都保留至今。[2]
