九都镇是福建省宁德市蕉城区下辖的镇，位于宁德市境中部，距宁德市政府约19公里，镇域面积约91.3平方千米。[1] 全镇辖13个行政村，行政区划代码为350902104。[1][3][4] 镇名来自明代的设都制度，当时此地被列为第九都。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

青铜时代，镇域内已有人类活动，贵村溪尾山遗址曾出土石锛、砺石和夹砂黑陶片。[2]

宋代这一带属霍山乡水漈里。明代实行乡、里、都、图的编制，今九都的范围包括明代九都的一部分和十都的大部分，清代沿袭了这一编制。[2]

民国时期，九都初属二区，设九邑乡，后归霍童镇管辖。1949年解放初期隶属八都。[2]

九都公社于1958年8月组建，1961年8月改为九都区，1966年7月重新设为公社。1984年10月公社被取消，改设九都乡；1992年1月起称镇。[2]

公社机构起初设在九都村，1967年以后迁至扶摇村。[2]

地理环境[edit]

据蕉城区人民政府网站，区内已发现的金属矿与非金属矿中，有一部分集中在虎贝、赤溪、九都、霍童、七都、洋中等乡镇。[5]

经济[edit]

镇内耕作以水稻、薯类和小麦为主，同时种植茶叶和蔬菜，并出产竹木。[1]

文化[edit]

2020年12月，福建省爱卫办授予九都镇「福建省卫生乡镇」称号；2022年12月，九都镇被命名为「2022年福建省森林城镇」；2023年2月，九都镇列入「福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡镇」名单。[1]
