旧有寺院，后废弃，吴姓人家迁来开基，村遂得名吴山。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年组建生产大队，1984年改为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年2月，吴山村列入福建省第三批省级传统村落名单；2021年12月，被命名为2021年度福建省森林村庄。[1]
