八都镇是福建省宁德市蕉城区下辖的镇，位于蕉城区东北部，临霍童溪入海口，东面濒三都澳，东北与福安市相接，镇驻地为八都村。全镇下辖1个社区、25个行政村，镇域面积约160平方千米。[1][2][4]

地名[edit]

镇名取自驻地八都村。该村古称牛川，明代实行都制时被列为第八都，此后改称八都。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代这一带隶属霍童乡水漈里。明代设都，统辖铜镜、水潦、牛道头、漈山寺等16村。此后，此地在民国三十七年（1948年）设镇，是当时全县四镇九乡之一。[3]

解放初期此地设第二区，1952年改为第三区，下设六都、七都、九都、三望、云淡等十二个乡。1955年10月更名为八都区，1958年8月撤销区建制，改设八都人民公社；1961年8月恢复八都区名，1966年7月又改为人民公社。1984年10月，人民公社体制取消，设立八都镇，现名自此沿用。[3]

地理与交通[edit]

国道104线与省道岙外线穿过镇域，水陆交通便利。镇域属亚热带海洋性季风气候，雨量充沛，冬季少有严寒，夏季少有酷暑。[2]

经济与特产[edit]

博雅地名网列出该镇的名优特产为晚熟龙眼、中华绒毛蟹、青鱼、鲥鱼和枇杷。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

上坂尚书墓位于镇内上坂，是明代刑部尚书林聪的墓葬。墓园布局呈“风”字形：前为神道，依次设享堂、碑亭，墓冢与墓碑居中，周围以石砌禁墙围合。占地约312平方米，现存石像生三对，另有墓志铭碑与神道碑各一通。[5]

墓主林聪为明代宁德籍刑部尚书。墓葬1980年列为县级文物保护单位，2013年1月，被公布为「福建省文物保护单位」（第八批）。[5][6]

闽坑村的岚翠桥是一座清代古桥，为单孔石拱廊屋桥，清光绪六年（1880年）重建。[6][7]

荣誉[edit]

2023年，八都镇入选福建省「全域生态旅游小镇」；2012年至2013年度，镇域获评国家级生态乡镇。[1]
