牛埕村是七都镇下辖的行政村，海拔750米，位于牛埕山东北麓，距镇区西南16公里[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
传说古时有人在此放牧牛只，后洋中人迁入建村，地名称牛程丘，后演为牛埕[1]。1966年设牛埕大队，其下管牛埕与黄连坑两个村；1979年两村分设大队，1984年改为村委会[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
村辖龙盘石、坑里、上洋、章后、南坑与牛埕共6个自然村。村中分为9个村民小组；户籍502人，常住298人，大学文化以上7人[1][2]。
林地1846亩，耕地197亩。农业为本，产稻谷和茶叶；林业有松树、杉木和毛竹，畜牧业有猪和羊，村民另做木凳作副业[1]。
荣誉与设施[edit]
2021年11月，牛埕村被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」[1]。村内有商店2间、医疗站1个，另有教学楼1座[1]。
