六都村位于七都镇南部，在镇区南4.1公里，福汾公路东侧。六都原为旧地名，现由许厝、陈厝、飞竹三个村合称[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
六都属安东乡临海里，当时宁德设三乡十里[1][2]。明代分二十五都，其中六都下辖22村，北至金垂，南至横屿，清代沿用此制[2]。民国29年，此地为全县二十四乡之一[1]。
解放初期，此处归第三区（八都）管辖，设六都乡。1963年改设六都人民公社，之后为六都大队，隶属七都公社。1979年分成三个大队（许厝、陈厝、飞竹），1984年转为村委会[2]。
福汾公路于1955年才修通，此前六都是通往宁德北面的陆路要道，商业繁盛，人口密集[2]。
人口[edit]
2006年底，六都各村合计1381户、5898人[2]。
文化与人物[edit]
宁德旧时民间有三奇之说，即“流炉”“飞竹”“墓生儿”，前两者的传说发生在六都[2]。
村内有纪念白马王宗义的庙宇一座，宋时所建，1981年重建[2]。历史上当地出过的人物有清代文人许若梅、武举人周宇龙，另有周墨钦、周作翰等[2]。
