历史沿革[edit]
宋代这一带属安东乡临海里。明清时期，今镇域的大部分属五都，另有一部分属四都和六都。[1]
民国时期此地先属一区，之后陆续设立漳湾镇、漳南镇等建制。1950年时全县分设七个区，此地为第二区；到1955年10月起，改以“漳湾区”为名。[1]
其后，本地于1958年11月设立漳湾人民公社，又于1961年8月重新设置漳湾区，1966年7月公社之名得以恢复。[1]据百度百科，公社设立的时间是1966年7月。[2]
公社体制在1984年10月结束，改设漳湾乡，次年再改为镇。[1][2]
地理环境[edit]
镇域由丘陵与滨海平原组成，属亚热带海洋性季风气候，气温年均19℃，降雨年均2098毫米。[2]
全镇面积的数字有两个：百度百科载为54平方千米，博雅地名网载为约50.3平方公里，两处都列于此。[1][2]
漳湾港有一座3000吨级的集装箱码头。同三高速公路从镇域穿过，温福铁路也经此，铁路在这里设有站点。[2]
人口[edit]
全镇2019年的户籍登记人数为59981人，常住人口则约6.4万。[2]
经济[edit]
农作物以水稻、薯类、甘蔗和蔬菜为多，沿海养殖对虾、蛏和淡水鱼。[1]
全镇形成了临港工业体系，其中有新能源科技、中铝东南铜业等企业。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
镇内的文物建筑有漳湾村的戚公祠，博雅地名网载其为市级文物保护单位。同村还保存着戚继光抗倭时的古炮台遗址，以及用来供军兵饮水的麒麟井；村中另有雪峰禅寺和白莲禅寺两座寺院。[3]
漳湾镇东侧海上有横屿岛，明嘉靖四十一年（1562年）戚继光趁退潮时铺草填路，攻下岛上的倭寇据点，史称「横屿之战」。围垦之后，岛已由孤岛变为与陆地相连的半岛。[4]
著名人物[edit]
阮大成是宋代人，福建宁德五都漳湾人，字希圣，号献斋。宋宣和七年（1125年）金兵南下时，他与陈东等人上书，为李纲力争。[5]
阮大成去世后，乡人于绍兴六年（1136年）在漳湾建祠纪念。[5]
阮登炳为宋度宗咸淳乙丑科状元，官至吏部侍郎，博雅地名网将他列为漳湾人。[3]
