城南镇是福建省宁德市蕉城区下辖的镇，位于市境东南部，东面临海，辖区面积约34.3平方千米。镇名取自其地处蕉城南郊的位置。[1][3][4]

2021年2月，城南镇列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。2022年10月，经福建省森林康养评定委员会研究，城南镇被确定为「2022年福建省级森林康养小镇」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年4月设立城郊区，辖境包括今城南镇和金涵乡的部分村庄。[2]

1964年3月，城郊区域重新划分，分设三个小公社。1966年7月撤区并社，改组成金涵公社；1977年6月组建城郊人民公社。1984年10月取消城郊人民公社的建制，改设城南乡，1992年1月改为镇。[2]

地理环境[edit]

镇域东部濒海，104国道穿过境内。[1]

经济[edit]

工业以石板材加工为主；农业以水稻和薯类为主要粮食作物，另产茶叶。[1]
