蕉北街道是福建省宁德市蕉城区下辖的街道，位于蕉城区城区北部，1991年5月由原蕉城镇改制设立。[1][2]

104国道穿过辖区，南侧以八一五路与蕉南街道相接。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，今街道一带属蕉城公社；1984年划归蕉城镇；1991年5月，蕉城镇改制，设立蕉北街道。[1][2]

据博雅地名网，1997年时街道面积6.8平方千米，人口3.5万，设继光、碧山、崇文、三元、单石碑五个村委会和培英、鹤峰两个居委会。[2]

2001年12月，鹤峰改设社区居民委员会；2002年4月，三元改设；其余各村、居委会多在2003年4月5日改为社区居民委员会。灵秀社区于2016年9月挂牌成立。[2]

维基百科的街道条目只列7个社区，未算灵秀社区，与博雅地名网、百度百科所载的8个社区不一。[3]

地理环境[edit]

面积一说为5平方千米（百度百科），一说为6.8平方千米（博雅地名网，其中1997年的数字）。两者不一。[1][2]

博雅地名网称地名因地处城区西北部而得名，其街道概况又写作位于东南部，与百度百科的北部说法不同。[1][2]

气候属亚热带海洋性季风气候。[1]

百度百科载截至2011年末总人口4.644万人；博雅地名网载约5.52万人，未注年份。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

白鹤岭福温古道是一条古官道，由宁德县主簿丁大全于南宋宝庆年间（1225年至1227年）主持修建，此后历代屡经维修。古道穿过蕉南、蕉北与城南三地，本街道的一段位于继光社区境内。[4][5]

白鹤岭福温古道的蕉城境内段现存四段石磴路，四段全长4940米（百度百科）；维基百科则载古官道全长约10公里，起于宁德旧县西门，通往罗源。[4][5]

古道于2019年10月列入第八批全国重点文物保护单位。此前，2015年列入蕉城区第八批文物保护单位名录；2018年随白鹤岭摩崖石刻一同列入第九批福建省文物保护单位。[4][5]

蕉城蔡氏民居及家庙在前林路，建于清道光年间（1821年至1850年），占地1190平方米。其正堂开间六间、进深四间，梁木施有雕饰；家庙尚存半月池拱桥、文武门以及宗祠大门。[6][7]

2009年11月，该建筑群被公布为福建省第七批省级文物保护单位。[6][7]

2008年建成蔡威事迹展览陈列馆，建筑同时以「蔡威故居」之名列为蕉城区第六批文物保护单位。蔡威为中国共产党烈士。[7]
