小场社区位于宁德旧县城的南大门，东接宁川路，西靠蕉城南路（104国道）。[1][2][3]
旧时村边有一丛表竹作风水林，故称“筱场”，后改为小场。2021年11月，社区获福建省爱卫办命名，称号为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明嘉靖年间修筑土堡以抵御倭寇，万历二十年又重新修筑，倭患平息后土堡废弃。[3]
1956年设生产大队，1991年成为村委会，2006年才转为社区居委会，办公在南大路129号。[1][3]
地理环境[edit]
社区内有小场路、坝河乾路、宫边路与坂溪弄等巷道。[1]
2023年时常住人口为3911人，共8个居民小组。[3]
