北坑场村是吾祠乡下辖的行政村，距乡政府所在地7公里。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历有两种说法：一说因地处厚德村北面的山坳而得名；一说村中由八道山谷组成，原名「八坑场」，后音转为今名。村落在明清时已经形成。[1]

1958年本村属吾祠大队，归建峰公社；1961年另设北坑场大队，归吾祠公社管辖；1984年政社分开后改称北坑场，隶属吾祠乡。[1]

文化[edit]

2022年10月，经福建省农业农村厅认定，北坑场村成为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

2021年1月、2023年1月和2024年1月，北坑场村先后被命名为「2020年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」和「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
