吾祠乡隶属漳平市，位于漳平市北部，北面与三明市大田县相连，东面与泉州市永春县为邻，处在龙岩、三明、泉州三地市的交界处。全乡辖9个行政村，乡政府驻吾祠村后隔洋。[1][2]
全乡地势高峻，平均海拔800米，以水稻、毛竹、油茶和萝卜等为主要收入来源。2019年，「厚德萝卜」申报国家地理标志成功。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，元代卢氏由龙岩迁入，其后裔在上吾祠、下吾祠、后隔洋、前村洋、山丰等处开垦畲地定居。当地称这些聚居点为「五畲」，因「畲」与「祠」方言读音相同，写成「五祠」，便成了今名。[2]
1951年设吾祠乡，隶属新桥区（第六区），区内另有彭炉、厚德两乡。1957年划入新桥督导片。1958年，吾祠乡与谢畬乡并为建峰公社，次年并入新桥公社。1961年自新桥公社析出，设吾祠公社。1984年，吾祠公社改为吾祠乡。[2][4]
明清和民国初期，这里属和睦里的芦溪社与感化里的长塔社。[4]
地理环境[edit]
吾祠乡在漳平市北部边隅，北、东两面与大田县、永春县毗连，南、西两面则与象湖镇、溪南镇、新桥镇、灵地乡相连。乡域面积125平方千米，乡政府距漳平市区69公里。[1]
戴云山脉绵延境内，北部的一顶尖主峰海拔1413米。北坡的溪水流入大田县，南坡的水汇入溪南溪，全乡处在闽江与九龙江的分水岭一带。乡政府所在地海拔约740米。[2][3]
地下有低硫无烟煤、石灰石、铅锌矿、铁锰矿和高岭土等矿产。[3]
人口[edit]
第七次全国人口普查数据显示，全乡户籍人口7294人，另有常住人口2669人。全乡辖9个行政村、28个自然村和56个村民小组。[1][5]
经济与物产[edit]
村民的收入主要来自水稻、毛竹、油茶、香菇、木耳、萝卜、蘑菇、水仙茶和高山蔬菜，并发展林下经济。萝卜产品中有厚德村的「厚德萝卜」。[1]
荣誉[edit]
吾祠鱼米在2018年和2019年连续两年获「全国稻渔综合种养优质渔米评比」的「绿色生态奖」。[1]
吾祠乡在2018年和2021年连续两届被评为省级「文明乡镇」，2020年乡党委、政府被评为「龙岩市新时代新担当新作为」先进集体。[1]
2014年9月，吾祠乡被授予「2012年—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」称号；2024年1月，被认定为「2023年度龙岩市平安乡镇（街道）」。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
九仙峰位于彭炉村，属戴云山脉的分支，海拔1355米，山体由九座山峰组成，各峰形态不一。民间传说，峰顶庙宇中的一位老和尚常与八仙论道，后来众人一同成仙，人们因此称之为「九仙」，山名由此而来。[4][6]
