可人头村属于西园镇的主城区，西园镇人民政府驻在村内。村名原作「坷垅头」，一度改称「虎龙头」，后谐音演变为今名。[1][3]

地名由来[edit]

村子原名「坷垅头」，曾改称「虎龙头」，之后因读音相近，定为「可人头」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1934年，此地属第一区的一个联保，称西园保。1940年，这里分成西园、西龙两个保，隶登泰乡；1943年为党泰乡的西园保，1949年初改称可人头村。[2]

1950至1952年后，此地划为党泰区第二区的西园乡；1956年归西登乡管辖，1957年转入党泰督导片的党泰乡。1958年，村子析成西一、西二两个大队，归党泰公社辖制。[2]

1961年一度划入城郊公社，之后又回到西园公社，仍分西一、西二两个大队；1966年两队合为西园大队。1984年，村子改隶西园乡并以可人头为名。1997年7月1日正式设村。撤乡建镇之后，村仍在西园镇内。[2]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月授予可人头村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]

村子在2024年1月获命名为2023年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」。[1]
