基泰村位于西园镇境内，靠近九龙江西岸，村域东边临江，土壤肥沃。村子旧名「毗濑」，因江中两处急滩得名，后演变为今名。[1][2]

村子的主要特产是红糖，近年来先后被认定为多个层级的「一村一品」专业村，并列入乡村振兴示范名单。[1][3]

地名由来[edit]

明、清时代建村，原名「毗濑」，名称来自村前江中相连的两处急滩，当地方言称急滩为「濑」。其后方言近音演化为「居泰」，再演变成今名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1934年此地称基泰保，先后隶属第一区的基泰联保、登泰乡与党泰乡。[1]

1949年初属党泰乡，其时村名为基泰村；1950至1952年后设党泰区的基泰乡，后又并入基进乡。1958年改称基泰大队，此后隶属党泰、城郊、西园等公社。[1]

1963年，大队分为顶坊、中坊、尾坊三个大队；1965年又合成一个大队，仍归西园公社。1984年村改属西园乡，改称基泰村。撤乡建镇发生在2013年9月30日，村子此后仍在西园镇内。[1]

经济与特产[edit]

村子以红糖生产为特色。2022年7月，村子被认定为2022年漳平市「一村一品」专业村（红糖）；同年8月，龙岩市农业农村局又将其认定为龙岩市2022年市级「一村一品」专业村（红糖）；同年12月，福建省农业农村厅确定其为2022年度福建省「一村一品」专业村（红糖）。[1][2]

2023年，村子的小红糖妇女微家入选全省品牌妇女微家，同年12月村子又进入龙岩市乡村振兴示范村镇的2023年度名单。[3][1]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办授予基泰村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号，时间为2021年11月。[1]

2022年10月，省级的乡村治理示范村镇名单中，基泰村属第二批，由福建省农业农村厅认定。[1]

2024年2月，村子入选福建省第二批乡村振兴示范村镇的创建名单。[1]
