下墘村在和平镇北部，离镇政府7公里，离漳平市区12公里，漳永高速公路从村域中穿过。村辖下墘、石鼓山、洋底三个自然村，村域多为山地，平均海拔560米。[1][2]

村名由来[edit]

村中聚落之下是一片梯田，方言称梯田为「墘」，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年为下墘大队，隶红专、城郊和平等公社。1984年改称下墘村，隶和平乡；1995年建镇后仍属和平镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村内森林保护较好，种植三月桃和反季节蔬菜，村民收入还来自养殖与外出务工。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

石鼓山的岩泉寺在博雅地名网所载的村情中被称作有750年历史的古寺，镇政府网站则将其列入「一公三寺」。[1][3]

石鼓迎仙为漳平八景之一，博雅地名网在本村条下将其列为村内景观。[1][3]

荣誉[edit]

2017年8月，本村列入「福建省第二批省级传统村落」名录；镇政府网站亦称下墘村为福建省级传统村落。[1][3]

2023年1月，本村被命名为「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
