适榕村位于永福镇境内，村名取自两个旧地名各一字[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

上世纪五十年代，取“适仔下”“榕树下”两地名的首字定为村名[1]。

1943年并入永福镇。土改后归第三区，后设适榕乡；1957年又并入适元乡。1958年成立适榕大队，隶永福公社；1961年划归适元公社，1964年复归永福公社。1984年改为适榕村，隶永福乡；1987年随永福设镇[1]。

文化[edit]

麻南溪曾是革命基点村，本村属革命老区村[1]。
