紫阳村位于永福镇中部，离镇驻地约3千米，村委驻地临下浙溪，俗称“海仔洋”[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村委驻地在下浙溪畔，洪水来时水面宽阔如海，俗称“海仔洋”；后以方言近音雅化为今名，当地仍沿用俗称[1]。

明清及民国初期，此地属永福里砬头社的城兜乡[1]。1934年称紫阳保，先隶第二区东河联保，后属福东乡，之后并入永福镇。1980年析立紫阳大队；1984年改称紫阳村，隶永福乡；1987年永福设镇后仍属其[1]。

经济[edit]

村内溪涧两畔黄竹丛生，既是风水林，也为村民编制斗笠提供材料；村中主种单季水稻，次种烟叶，城兜产草席[2]。
