后盂村位于永福镇西南部，离镇驻地约3.5千米，村址在丛山坡地与涧谷之间，村名取其地形似“孟”字之意[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

明清及民国初期，此地属永福里吕坊社的吕邦乡[2]。1934年起称后盂保，初隶第二区北河联保，后归福里镇，再并入永福镇[2]。

1958年该地归吕坊大队管辖，属永福公社，1961年另立后盂大队，仍归永福公社。1984年改为后盂村，隶永福乡，1987年随永福改镇[2]。

经济[edit]

村内以木材和毛竹为主要出产，次种地瓜、荆芥；东坑所产草席是地方特产[2]。

文化[edit]

宝山、东坑、下山兴等自然村为革命基点村，后盂属重点老区村[2]。
