历史沿革[edit]
起初，村中林木茂盛，村民多靠建窑烧炭谋生，因此叫大窑。1934年，此地为中南城联保的一部分，后归中南城乡。1950年至1952年归宁洋县第一区管辖。[2]
1956年宁洋县撤销，村划归漳平县双洋区。1958年改属东风公社，设大窑大队；1961年隶双洋公社；1984年称大窑村；1989年改镇后为双洋镇大窑村。[2]
2022年6月24日，漳平市人民政府以批复（漳政综〔2022〕35号）同意把大窑村改名为大瑶村，此后沿用至今。[1]
文化[edit]
2021年11月，村获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[2]
