石码村位于新桥镇境内，原名「石马」，因村头两块巨石形似马而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1934年属石码保，隶第四区（新桥）安仁联保，之后为石安乡；1943年归新桥镇。1949年初称石码村；1950年至1952年属新桥区的一个乡，后并入安仁乡。1958年改为石码大队，归新桥公社；1961年划入安仁公社，1965年回归新桥公社；1984年改称石码村，隶新桥镇。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，村被命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
