义宅村位于新桥镇北部，与溪南镇相邻，距集镇约22千米，村内有华唐阁。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村人旧时分住在十八道山谷之中，故称「离宅」。后因不堪匪患，集中建起新居，称「第二宅」；又因居民团结聚居、重视义气，更名为今称。[1][2]

1934年为义宅保，归第四区安仁联保管辖，之后改隶石安乡；1943年并入新桥镇。1949年初称义宅村；1958年改为义宅大队，归新桥公社；1961年一度划归安仁公社，1965年又并回新桥公社；1984年改称义宅村，隶新桥镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村地面积约2平方千米，村民分为7个小组，计278户，总人口1198人（博雅地名网所载，未注年份）。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

华唐阁在村尾，又名观音阁，建于明成化年间，历代重修。[2]

文化[edit]

2023年1月，村被命名为「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2024年1月，又被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
