城口村是新桥镇北部的畲族聚居村，西侧有鹰厦铁路经过，与三明市大田县、永安市交界。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历，相传古时有人想建皇城称帝，把此处定为皇城的出入口，故称城口。[1]
1943年村地称城口保，属宁洋县第一区。1949年以前村属宁洋县徐溪乡。1956年宁洋撤县后改属漳平；1959年改归新桥公社辖下；1984年村制恢复，改称城口村，隶新桥镇。[1]
人口民族[edit]
村内有畲族居民，漳平市于2010年5月将其认定为少数民族行政村。据博雅地名网，全村有1293人，其中畲族368人（未注年份）。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村辖8个自然村，村部设在城口自然村，其余为溪尾、柯周坑、西坪、小罗山、大罗山、曳船坂与曳船。鹰厦铁路设有城口站，村地山林广阔，多产毛竹。[1][2]
文化[edit]
2021年1月，村被命名为「2020年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
