城溪村属连城县宣和镇，村名源于村边流过的溪水，南宋末年村中居民也有过更替[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

早先村中住的是成姓人家，溪水自西向东流过，故称成溪。南宋末年（1246年）黄姓人家迁入，成姓逐渐消失，村名改为城溪。[1]

1956年此地划入连城，设城溪村，归朋口区宣和乡。1958年归宣和公社管辖，1961年又并入朋口公社，1962年宣和公社重设，城溪成为其中的大队。1984年建乡镇制后仍称城溪村，属宣和乡；2021年改为宣和镇辖。[1]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办评定城溪村为省级卫生村；2022年10月经福建省农业农村厅认定，列入第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇；2022年12月，福建省绿化委员会授予2022年福建省森林村庄称号。2023年1月与2024年1月，该村先后获评2022年度、2023年度龙岩市平安村居。[1]
