林塘村位于林坊镇西部，省道204线从村子西面穿过，距县城约3公里。[2]村中是连城红心地瓜的主要产区之一。[2]

地名与沿革[edit]

1989年，此村旧有的序数名被改掉，从林坊、塘丘两地各取一字，定名林塘。[1]原称林三，取名缘于1949年前后组建初级社、高级社的次序。[1]其沿革可追溯至宋代南顺里，后经1984年文川乡、1993年林坊乡，至2016年改属林坊镇。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

全村现有人口1043人，265户，分为8个村民小组。[2]村中大多数农户从事地瓜干加工，约七成农户参与其中，村民也引进种植了葡萄良种。[2]

建筑[edit]

村中现存清代古民居建筑3处，新建住房布局有序，沿新林路两侧形成了新的居住带。[2]
