芷民村距庙前镇政府约3千米，村落面积约1平方千米，居民全部姓邱，紧邻319国道。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由来：村后的山岗远望如楼台，人们取「阁下安宁」之意，先称此地阁康，此后改名芷民。[1]

宋代属表正里，明清属表席里，民国属崇溪乡，新中国成立后属新泉区芷溪乡。1958年组成新泉公社芷民大队，1972年转入庙前公社，1984年为庙前镇芷民村委会，驻芷民自然村。[1]

建筑与民俗[edit]

村中古宗祠较多，历史上还出过文武进士。春节期间村里有出花灯、走古事、犁春牛等民俗活动。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2026年1月，芷民村被确定为「福建省2026年度乡村振兴示范村」；2020年2月，它列入「福建省第三批省级传统村落」名单；2021年11月，又被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
