芷星村的村域占地1.2平方千米，离镇政府约2千米，319国道穿村而过。村民多以竹凉席加工为业，商贸也较活跃。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由来：这一片属芷溪。1950年代，五个初级社合并为一个高级社，于是取「五星」中的「星」字作村名。[1]

宋时属表正里，明清属表席里，民国时归崇溪乡。1949年后隶新泉区芷溪乡；1958年成为新泉公社芷星大队，1972年改属庙前公社，1984年设庙前镇芷星村委会，驻芷星自然村。[1]

建筑与民俗[edit]

春节期间，村里有出花灯、走古事、犁春牛等民俗活动。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年2月，芷星村列入「福建省第三批省级传统村落」名单；2021年11月，它被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
