芷红村紧靠319国道，村内面积约4.8平方千米，以竹凉席的生产、加工与销售为主要产业。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由来：合作化时期这里分设芷光、芷爱、芷华三个大队，公社化后并为一个大队，取「芷」字与「红星」的「红」字，称芷红大队，建制后改称芷红村。[1][2]

这一带宋代属表正里，明清改属表席里；民国时归崇溪乡。新中国成立后曾隶新泉区芷溪乡，1958年称新泉公社芷红大队。1972年划入庙前公社，1984年建制后为庙前镇芷红村委会。[1]

建筑与民俗[edit]

村中保留有杨辉公祠、杨氏家庙等古宗祠。春节期间村里有出花灯、走古事、犁春牛等民俗活动。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年2月，芷红村列入「福建省第三批省级传统村落」名单；2021年11月，它被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
