芷溪村位于庙前镇南部的丘陵之中，据百度百科，村落形成于宋代，因溪边生长芷草而得名。村中以黄、杨两姓为多，另有邱、华两姓，是一个保存明清宗祠与民居较多的客家村落。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由来：村中有一条溪，溪边生长着香芷，村因而名为芷溪。[1]

宋代此地属表正里，明清属表席里，民国时归崇溪乡。新中国成立后先设新泉区芷溪乡；1958年成为新泉公社芷溪大队，1972年改隶庙前公社。1984年建制后为庙前镇芷溪村委会，驻芷溪自然村。[1]

明清以来，芷溪一度是汀江流域的商贸集散地，至今仍保留每月逢五、逢十赶圩的传统。[2]

建筑与文化遗存[edit]

村内明清古祠68座、古民居138幢，多为祠居合一的客家建筑，普遍采用「九厅十八井」的布局。[1][2]

杨姓的渔溪公祠修建于康熙末年，供奉杨氏先祖渔溪公，至今仍有渔溪公后裔700余人聚居在此。[1]

据连城县人民政府网站，芷溪宗祠建筑群被列为全国重点文物保护单位。芷溪村另有国家级非遗芷溪花灯，并于2010年入选第五批中国历史文化名村，2012年被列入第一批中国传统村落名录。[3][1]

荣誉[edit]

2003年1月，芷溪村被福建省人民政府确定为「第二批福建省历史文化名镇名村」；2021年11月，又被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
