岩背村是庙前镇境内位置最偏远的行政村，距镇政府约30千米，地处梅花山自然保护区腹地，海拔约680米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由来：村东是悬崖峭壁与嶙峋山石，罗氏开基始祖最早称此地为碧沿村。后来因土地肥沃、竹木资源较多，又改称银背；村民住在岩壁之下，遂名岩背。[1]

岩背原属莒溪乡（1949年前）。1953年改隶新泉区江畲乡，1958年成为新泉公社岩背大队。1984年建制后，它成为庙前镇岩背村委会，驻地在岩背自然村。[1]

自然环境[edit]

村内有岩背水库。村民主要种植反季节蔬菜，并产竹笋干。[1]

荣誉[edit]

岩背村是省级重点革命基点村。2021年11月，它被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」；同年8月，又被确定为「连城县第十四届（2018-2020年度）县级文明村镇（社区）」。[1]
