江畲村距庙前镇政府约12千米，村落面积2.4平方千米，村中居民以罗姓、吕姓为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由来：明代中叶，吕姓人家从上杭县城郊迁来，在山岗上开荒种田，此地原名岗畲。因为方言中「岗」与「江」读音相近，岗畲便演变为江畲。[1]

明清时此地隶属表席里；民国时期为儒乐乡辖地，新中国成立后改隶新泉区江畲乡。1972年设庙前公社江畲大队，1984年建制后为庙前镇江畲村委会，驻外罗屋自然村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，江畲村被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。同年8月，它又被确定为「连城县第十四届（2018-2020年度）县级文明村镇（社区）」。[1]
