太平寮村为莒溪镇下辖的行政村，位于梅花山腹地。据博雅地名网，村子海拔约1000米；百度百科则作平均海拔800米。[1][2][3]
村在2015年10月入选福建省第一批省级传统村落，2019年6月又列入第五批中国传统村落名单。[1]
自然环境[edit]
村内森林覆盖率达94%，竹林成片，另有大面积的原始林区。林中生长红豆杉、铁杉等国家一、二级保护植物。[2][3]
产业与文化[edit]
毛竹生产经营是村中的主导产业，高山云雾茶的种植则属优势产业。[3]
博雅地名网称，村中有非物质文化遗产十二项，另有拔河、篮球赛、下棋与猜谜等活动定期举办。[3]
荣誉[edit]
中国生态文化协会在2012年授予村「2012年度全国生态文化村」称号。福建省绿化委员会在2022年12月把村命名为「2022年福建省森林村庄」。[1]
