名称[edit]

村处于山谷平地，与龙岩万安相毗邻，居民分居上峡、下峡，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代归河源下里，明清归河源里，民国时期隶属三民乡屏东保。1949年设坪坑村，1952年属朋口区坪坑乡，1958年改称坪坑大队。1984年设莒溪乡坪坑村委会，1988年换届时分设三个村委会，1993年撤乡设镇后归莒溪镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年8月，村被确定为「连城县第十四届（2018-2020年度）县级文明村镇（社区）」。[1]
