名称[edit]
开基始祖姓罗，村原名罗地。元末，人们在此开采铁矿、炼铁，村名由此而来。1989年，为与其他乡镇的罗地村相区别，改称铁山罗地村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时期此地在三民乡的屏中保之内。1955年起称罗地村，1958年改由莒溪公社管辖并设罗地大队。1984年设莒溪乡罗地村委会，1989年9月改称铁山罗地村委会，1993年改由莒溪镇管辖。[1]
红色遗迹[edit]
村中保存有红军标语群，以及「铁山罗地乡苏维埃政府旧址（发埔堂）」。1930年，苏维埃政府曾在此成立。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，村被福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」；2021年12月，村被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]
