墩坑村为莒溪镇的行政村，属镇乡结合区，村委会驻墩坑自然村。[1]

名称与历史[edit]

据博雅地名网，此地宋代归河源下里，明清归河源里。早年丁姓先人在此开基，其后丁姓外迁，傅、林二姓迁入。因丁字与墩字同音，1949年前夕起改称墩坑。[1]

民国时隶属墩联保，1958年划归莒溪公社。1984年设莒溪乡墩坑村委会，1993年撤乡设镇，村属莒溪镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，村被福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」；2021年8月，村被确定为「连城县第十四届（2018-2020年度）县级文明村镇（社区）」。[1]

省农业农村厅于2022年10月将本村列入第二批乡村治理示范村镇名单；2024年6月，村列入福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村名单。[1]
