地名由来[edit]
2015年7月，原朋口村新设三个行政村，朋城村取鹏程万里、展翅高飞之意。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1928年改设区乡，1929年曾建立红色政权。解放前设朋口镇保甲，下辖九个保。此后经历几次并改，1992年撤乡建镇时仍归朋口镇所辖的朋口村，2015年7月析出为朋城村。[2]
荣誉[edit]
朋城村于2022年12月获「2022年福建省卫生村」的命名。[1]
