朋东村是朋口镇下辖的行政村，2015年7月由原朋口村析出，以兰花为主导产业之一。[1]

地名由来[edit]

2015年7月，原朋口村新设三个行政村，朋东村取旭日东升、紫气东来之义，寓意朝气蓬勃、充满希望。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1928年改设区乡，此地隶属第二区；1929年红军入闽后建立了红色政权。解放前设朋口镇保甲，下辖九个保。此后经历几次并改，1992年撤乡建镇时仍归朋口镇所辖的朋口村，2015年7月析出为朋东村，下辖六个自然村。[2]

荣誉[edit]

朋东村于2021年12月入选「2021年度福建省“一村一品”示范村」，产业为兰花。2022年10月，村子获认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2022年12月，村子获得「2022年福建省卫生村」的命名。[1]

2023年3月，朋东村获「第十二批全国“一村一品”示范村镇」称号，产业仍为兰花；同月，农业农村部还推介其为「2022年全国乡村特色产业产值超亿元村」。2026年1月，村子被确定为「福建省2026年度乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
