上莒村是朋口镇下辖的行政村，村委驻地原在上村自然村。2025年，该村并入新设的上莒溪村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

早年余姓人家由江西抚州迁来，先住在溪东。溪侧下坝称下村，溪上坝称上村，中间一段为中村。三段合称上莒溪，简称上莒。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1929年此地属新泉县池溪区。1949年以前为朋口镇上莒保，此后先后划归光明区金文村与朋口区上莒乡，又改为村制与大队制。1984年设朋口乡上莒村委会，1992年撤乡建镇后属朋口镇。[1]

行政区划变动[edit]

据百度百科，2025年县政府批准将洋地村、林家坪村与上莒村并为一村，名为上莒溪村；原上莒村的辖区归入上莒溪村。博雅地名网记上莒溪村成立于2025年10月。[2][1]
