马埔村是朋口镇下辖的行政村，以客家人为主，位于松毛岭东麓的一片小盆地中。[2]

地名由来[edit]

村前的山形状像马，山下有一片草埔，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1929年，此地属新泉县朋口区马埔村苏维埃。1934年这里为朋口镇马埔保，建国后划入光明区五和村，1952年别设马埔乡，1957年改为村制，1958年并入朋口公社成为马埔大队，1992年撤乡建镇后属朋口镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

珨瑚庙始建于明正统年间（1436年至1449年），后屡经修缮。建筑朝向东南，前设门楼与前厅，中为正厅；正厅开间不多，屋内梁架上承抬梁与穿斗两种做法，明间的金柱之上设有藻井。博雅地名网将其列为福建省文物保护单位，百度百科则作县级文物保护单位。[3][2]

每年农历二月初三有“游公太”民俗活动，是本村的重要节庆。[2]
