上余村是姑田镇的行政村。旧时姑田有“余门”之称，村民大多姓余，此村位于余门的上方，故名上余。村内共有10个自然村，包括梦溪坑、寒林、山桐林、古红楼、后菜洋、尧家畲、洋地凹、大洋塘、上岚溪与下岚溪，村委驻地在山桐林。[1]

荣誉[edit]

本村于2021年8月入选「连城县第十四届（2018-2020年度）县级文明村镇（社区）」。2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
